National Mill Day 2025 Schiedam, the Dutch City of Windmills

Did you know that the tallest traditional windmills in the world can be found here in Schiedam? They have been crucial for the distillers industry and have made up the skyline for centuries. The remaining windmills are all in walking distance from one another.

On Saturday, May 10 between 10:00 – 17:00, we celebrate National Mill Day in the Netherlands – in Schiedam, a charming city near Rotterdam known for its towering windmills.
